Richard J. Forrester Richard John Forrester, 75, of Atlanta, MI passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey, MI. He was born on July 18, 1931 to James and Meda (Angell) Forrester in Dearborn, MI. Dick married the former Anne Pernie on Junt 10th, 1967 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ossineke, MI. He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Forrester was a member and past commander of the VFW Post 9489 and a member of the American Legion Post 201. He was a school bus driver for the Atlanta Schools back in the 60's. He retired from the Montmorency Co Road Commission after 33 years or service. Dick volunteered his services for the Fire and EMT Departments here. Dick is survived by his wife, Anne of Atlanta, MI; two sons, William (Lisa) Forrester of Warren, MI, and Robert Forrester of Taunton, MA; two daughters, Judy DeJohn of Atlanta, and Sandra (Jerry Orm) Forrester of Adrian, MI; two grandsons, Jeremy and Ryan; granddaughter, Laura; two great grandsons, Spencer and Kenneth Jr; twin brother, Thomas (Annette) Forrester of Atlanta, MI; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Meda; brother, Jim Forrester; and a sister Jean Pierce. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the Atlanta Bible Church, Rev Roger Steele officiating. A luncheon will be held immediately following at the Atlanta VFW Post.
