Richard Frederick Dresser Mr. Richard Frederick Dresser, 87, of Novi, Michigan formerly of Hillman, passed away on February 25, 2013 at his residence. He was born on February 12, 1926 to Leighton and Mary Jane (Wingier) Dresser in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II. Richard was signed by the Detroit Tigers right out of college and later joined the Detroit Police Department for 25 years. He then lived the dream up north for 30 years hunting, fishing, and golfing. Loved by all, missed by many. Richard is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, June; children, Connie Pennebaker of Milford; Linda (Fred) Ostach of Commerce Township; and Scott (Leigh) Dresser of Canton; grandchildren, Scott Pennebaker, Ryan (Jennifer) Ostach, Beth (Robb) Moore, Amiee (Jeff) Wendland, Madison Dresser, and Connor Dresser; and 10 great grandchildren. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there are no services for Mr. Dresser planned at this time.
