Mr. Raymond Joseph Seewald, 91 of Hillman, Michigan died peacefully at MyMichigan Medical Center in Alpena with family at his side. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 4, 1932 to the late, Raphael and Lucille Seewald. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Raymond resided in Hillman for the last 18 years and was a member of the St. Augustine Catholic Church and a proud member of the Local 98. He enjoyed both fishing and woodworking. He is and will be deeply missed.

Raymond is survived by his children, Darlene Ocallaghan of Hillman, Douglas (Colleen) Seewald of Berkley, David (Jody) Seewald of Dearborn; grandchildren, Danielle, Megan (Brian), Kyle, Devin, Bryanna; and great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Ethan, Peyton, Mackenzie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raphael and Lucille Seewald, and wife, Clara.

In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial held in celebration of Raymond’s life at noon on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Hillman; Fr. Jim Siler officiating. Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM until time of service. There will be a luncheon following.
