R. Annette Forrester R. Annette Forrester, 69, of Atlanta died Sept. 5, 2007 at her home. She was born Nov. 3, 1937 to Ralph and Mary Ocha in Warren, MI, and moved to Houghton Lake, MI at one and a half years of age. She married Thomas Forrester April 1, 1972. Annette worked at Essex Wire for 16 years, K-Byte of Gaylord for eight years, and at the Montmorency County Tribune for many years. She loved spending time with family and friends and reading and gardening. She was a member of Atlanta Bible Church and was active in the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce where she served as secretary for several years. Surviving are her husband, Thomas; children, Mike (Stella) Mayhew of Alpena, Susan Crowder of Cave Creek, AZ, Christene (Dan) Smith of Roscommon, MI, Becky (Phillip) Hooper of Atlanta, Barbara (Bernie) Matelski of Vanderbilt, MI; five stepchildren, Bruce (Julie) Forrester, Don Forrester, Craig (Mindy) Forrester, and Terri (Mike) Hodges, all of Traverse City, MI, and Micky Forrester of Atlanta; 33 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two nieces; a nephew; a brother-in-law, Howard Nelson of Hanover, MI; and "adopted family," Linda and Rick Ferguson of Atlanta. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Bonnie Coultes of Roscommon and Charlotte Nelson of Hanover; and a granddaughter, Milisa Howard of Atlanta. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Sept. 12, at 11 a.m. at Atlanta Bible Church with Pastor Roger Steele officiating.
