Phyllis Hubbel

Phyllis Marie Hubbel Phyllis Marie Hubbel, 72, of Lewiston, MI passed away at her home on Sunday, June 15, 2008. She was born on January 9, 1936 to James Sr. and Mattie (Wollenhaupt) Appleton in Brighton, MI. She has lived in Lewiston since 1973 formerly of Clark Lake, MI. She worked as a Bank Teller in Ann Arbor and Jackson, MI for over 10 yrs; then she worked here at the IGA as well as in WalMart in Gaylord as a clerk. She was a past member of the Lewiston Lioness. Phyllis enjoyed knitting and cross-stitching; she loved to bake cookies for her grandchildren and attending their sporting events over the years. Phyllis is survived by her daughters, DonnaJo (Barry) Ewing of Scandia, MI and Pam (Mike) Courterier of Lewiston, MI; grandchildren, Roxanne, Michael (Meghan), Kristan (Nate), Marcus, Tiffany, Emily, and Joe; brothers, James (Charlene) Appleton Jr, of Brighton, MI, and Don Appleton of Round Rock, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Janet Carpenter. Funeral services for Mrs. Hubbel were held on Tuesday, June 17, 2008.
