Phyllis Cohoon

Phyllis Cohoon Phyllis Cohoon, 81, of Hillman, MI, passed away on June 12, 2010 at her daughter's home. She was born on Jan. 10, 1929 to Lorna (Roberts) and Doug Kenyon in Gregory, MI. Phyllis graduated from Hillman. She married Arthur Cohoon in Rust Township on Nov. 9, 1946. They lived in Swartz Creek for 30 years and returned back to the Hillman area in 1977. She enjoyed her family, especially her grandkids. She loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed by many. She also enjoyed playing cards, going to the casino, traveling, fishing, crafts, and attending family functions. Phyllis is survived by her sons, Stanley (Cheryl) of Davison and Rodney of Hillman, and a daughter, Stacey Oesch of Hillman; grandchildren: Michelle Beam of Davison, Stefanie (Tim) Cocanower of Granger, IN, Kyle Cohoon-Susalla of Waterford and Adrian, Kenyon and Nicole Oesch of Hillman; great-grandchildren: Allysa, Justin, Aaron Beam and Andrew Cocanower; sisters: Doris Cohoon of Hillman, Laura Diemond of Lynnwood, WA; a brother, Gerald (Edna) Kenyon of Atlanta; sister-in-laws, Phyllis Kenyon of Hillman, Marion (Don) Hansen of Swartz Creek, Mildred (Pete) Kwapis of Jacksonville, FL, Ruth Klein and Dorothy Cohoon of Hillman; a brother-in-law, Murel (Lela) Cohoon of Hillman; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur in 2006; an infant baby girl; sister Roberta Cohoon; and a brother, Robert Kenyon. Services will be held, June 16 at the Green Funeral Home. Rev. Roger Steele officiated. Arrangements handled by Green Funeral Home, Atlanta.
