Phillip Wayne Hooper Phillip Wayne Hooper, 59, of Atlanta, passed away on November 30, 2010 at his residence. He was born on December 24, 1950 to Oscar and Betty (Rickman) Hooper in Pontiac, MI. He married the former Becky Mayhew on June 27, 1992 in Atlanta, MI. Phil worked for many years in golf course maintenance and various courses in the area. He was a member of the Atlanta Thunder Bay Eagles and the Hillman VFW Post 2356. He enjoyed hunting, two tracking and mushroom picking. He was an avid woodworker. He loved to cook out on the the grill and go camping with family and friends. Above all else, Phil enjoyed the time he spent with his family. Phillip is survived by his wife, Becky of Atlanta, MI; daughters, Tammy (Al) Suszek of Atlanta, MI, Vicky (David) Neilsen of Garner, NC, Jessika (Tim) Sholes of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Candy Hooper of Waynesburg, PA; grandchildren, Tyler and Rylee Neilsen, Mariha and Jaxon Sholes, Alyssa, Tricia, Heather, and Richelle Suszek, and Joby Hennan; and sisters, Victoria (Glenn) Brown of Atlanta, MI, Pamela (Roger) Lindmuth of Indian River, MI, Linda (Tom Krumbach) Weir of Atlanta, MI, and Jane Howard of Gaylord, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Betty, and a brother Eugene Hooper. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial gathering for Mr Hooper will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 12:00 noon at the Atlanta Eagles Hall. Memorials have been suggested to the Hooper Family in care of the Green Funeral Home, PO Box 201, Atlanta, MI 49709.
