Peter Reinhardt

Peter Theodor Reinhardt Mr. Peter Theodor Reinhardt, 77 of Lewiston, Michigan died peacefully on November 27, 2017 at McLaren Northern Hospital in Petoskey. He was born to the late, Linus and Martha (Wehnes) Reinhardt in Bramen, Germany on August 4, 1940. In Garden City, Michigan on December 26, 1975 he married his wife, Berta (Bearden) Reinhardt and together the couple celebrated 41 years of marriage before his passing. The couple has resided in Lewiston for the last 21 years, formerly of Troy. Peter was a member of the Lewiston Sportsman's League and the Mushroom Club. He enjoyed a variety of hobbies including downhill skiing, woodworking, camping, and traveling. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman and loved to ride his Harley Davidson. Aside from his hobbies, Peter enjoyed the time he spent with family and friends. He will be dearly missed. He is survived by his loving wife, Berta Reinhardt of Lewiston; brother, Klaus Reinhardt of Toronto, Canada; sister, Ursula Neumann of Tucson, Arizona; three nephews, Michael, Ron, Fred and Lee; and two nieces, Susan and Carol. He was preceded in death by his parents, Linus and Martha Reinhardt. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial held in celebration of his life at 11:00AM on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at the Lewiston Congregational United Church of Christ; Pastor Dave Engel officiating. Visitation will take place from 10:00AM until time of service. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested donations be made to a cancer charity of the donor's choice or to the Lewiston Congregational United Church of Christ.
