Pauline Whitmire

Pauline Whitmire Pauline Whitmire, 89, of Atlanta, MI, passed away on December 23, 2011 at Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey. She was born on January 5, 1922 in Flint, MI to Alfred and Eloida (Courtemanche) Fleury. She married Charles Whitmire on January 23, 1942 also in Flint. She has lived at Canada Creek Ranch in Atlanta for the past 20 years, formerly of Flushing, MI, having been a member of the association since 1944. She attended Onaway United Methodist Church and was a member of the Canada Creek Women's Auxilliary. She was an avid bowler. Pauline loved to watch the birds and the deer at her home on the ranch. Pauline is survived by her sons, Chuck (Mary Jo) of Atlanta, MI, and Ted (Betty) of Tawas City, MI; daughters, Pamela (John) Head of Reno, NV and Patricia Gilbert of Atlanta, MI; grandchildren, Sherrie, Charles, Tad, Lori, Cindy, and David; great grandchildren, Tim, Ben, Sam, Sophie, Teegan, Shelby, and Logan; and a brother, Jack Fleury of New Port Richey, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; brothers, Carl and Morgan Fleury; and sisters, Sarah Ellithorpe, and Maxine Fleury. Funeral services for Mrs Whitmire will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at 11:00 AM at the Green Funeral Home, Atlanta, MI, Rev Peter Smith officiating. Visitation hours will be held on Tuesday from 2-8 PM at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Flint Memorial Park on Friday, December 30, 2011 at 1:00 PM.
