Pamela Ellen Carter Pamela Ellen Carter, 53, of Atlanta, MI, passed away on December 22, 2008 after an extended hard fought battle with cancer. She was born in Cincinnati, OH on May 31, 1955 to ViAnn (Birtram) Banotai and Nelson Guy. On December 4, 1981 she married James "Jeff" Carter. Pam was always very artistic. Prior to living in MI, she and Jeff lived in North Hollywood, CA where she owned and operated her own custom sewing and leather business. The couple moved to Atlanta in 1990 to raise their two daughters. Pam was a very giving and loving person who enjoyed contributing her time to the community. She and Jeff own and operate Carter's Greenhouse and Nursery and she enjoyed spending time out in her garden. More than anything, Pam loved spending as much time as possible with her family. Pamela is survived by her husband Jeff Carter of Atlanta, MI; daughters, Justice Carter of Redford, MI, and Lacie Carter of Atlanta, MI; sons, Michael (Natasha) Hufford of Midland, TX, and Joseph Carter of Aniston, AL; mother, ViAnn Banotai of Belleville, MI; sisters, Debbie (Kurt) Duncan of Brighton, MI, Millie (Larry) Dean of Rose City, MI; Monca (Bob) Jones, Lue (Mark) Pullen, an Laura (Keith) Hollis, all of Belleville, MI; brothers, Craig (Char) Banotai of Chelsea, MI, Jeff (Mary) Banotai of Belleville, MI, Scott Banotai of Chicago, IL; two grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Marvin Banotai and a son Jason Carter. As were her wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on January 10, 2009 at 1 p.m. at the Atlanta Bible Church, Pastor Roger Steele officiating. A luncheon will be held at the Atlanta Eagles Hall following the services. Pam was a great fighter and an inspiration to many, she will be greatly missed.
