Orley Sewell

Mr. Orley David Sewell, 78 of Atlanta, Michigan died peacefully at MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena on December 27, 2022. He was born on November 13, 1944, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to the late, Orville and Zonnie (Bell) Sewell. He married his wife, Linda (Spalding) Sewell on April 24, 1967, and together the couple celebrated 55 years of marriage before his passing. Orley worked for Ford Motor Company for 33 years before retiring and moving to the Atlanta area with Linda permanently. Orley was born and raised on a farm and was fascinated with both tractors and automobiles. He will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Sewell of Atlanta; daughters, Janice (Kenneth) Tyler of Grass Lake; Theresa Sewell of Lansing; Cynthia Sewell of Atlanta; grandchildren, Kenneth Tyler (Kayleigh Fletcher) Jr, Steven (Katy Lair) Tyler, Owen; great-grandchildren, Emma, Anna, Lincoln, and Maddison; and sister, Thelma Hartz of California. He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Zonnie Sewell; sisters-in-law, Kathy and Margaret; and brothers-in-law, Stanley and Tommy.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. The family has chosen to remember Orley privately at this time. Arrangements were entrusted to Green Funeral Home.
