Norman (Mike) Chambers Mr. Norman (Mike) Chambers, 80 of Atlanta, MI went to be with the Lord on May 6, 2012. He was born in Genoa, OH to Walter and Hazel (West) Chambers on May 1, 1932. One August 1, 1952 he married Betty L. Friedricksen in Genoa, OH and together they have five children. From 1952-1954 Norman served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He owned his own truck, hauling steel for Depenthal Company for thirty plus years. After retiring from trucking he owned and operated a welding shop with his son, John. He was a great fisherman and hunter until his retirement. His favorite saying was "I guess," which will be missed greatly by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Betty Chambers of Atlanta; sons, Michael (Tammy) Chambers of Neapolis, OH; Norman Jr (Teresa) Chambers of Rising Sun, OH; John Chambers of Atlanta; daughter, Debra (Randy) Dunn of Curcite, OH; twelve grandchildren and step-grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Hartman; parents, Walter and Hazel Chambers; and sister, Dolores Ranes. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at the Hillman VFW for Mr. Chambers at a later date.
