Nelson Floyd Haney Mr. Nelson Floyd Haney, 78 of Atlanta, MI passed away at his home on November 29, 2011. He was born on December 21, 1932 to Floyd and Ester (Garwick) Haney in Bay City, MI. He served his nation as a soldier in the US Army during the Korean War. He was the owner of Nels Body Shop in Bay City before moving to Atlanta where he has resided for the past twenty years. He was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, four-wheeling in the woods, horses, and was an avid CB user. Above everything, he enjoyed his time spent with family and friends. He is survived by sons, Floyd (Ann) Haney of Johannesburg, MI; Bobby Haney of Atlanta, MI; David (Monica) Haney of San Jose, CA; daughter, Debra Haney of Atlanta, MI; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as brothers, Arnold Haney of Prescott, MI; and Bob (Janet) Haney of Fairgrove, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Ester, wife Betty Haney, sister Pauline Trepanier, son Garry Haney, and daughter-in-law Karen Haney. A memorial will be held in memory of Mr. Haney on December 17, 2011 at 11:30 AM at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Pastor Steven Thiel officiating.
