Nancy May (Gavine) Phillips Mrs. Nancy May (Gavine) Phillips died on January 4, 2013 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was born to James and Ellen Gavine on October 4, 1932. She married George W. Phillips in 1956 and he preceded her in death in 1997. She had lived in New Smyrna Beach, Florida for the past 35 years. She is survived by her three daughters, Kimberly S. (James) Dobbyn of Atlanta; Kathy A. (Jerry) Okula of New Smyrna Beach, FL; Elizabeth E. Hadley; and son, George B. (Deborah Holberton) Phillips all of Atlanta; 12 grandchildren; two sisters, Sally (Don) Savage; Sue (Harry) Weaver all of Atlanta; and a nephew whom she raised, Donald (Brenda) Phillips of Waterford. As were her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial service held in celebration of her life on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at the Atlanta Congregational UCC Church, Atlanta, MI; Reverends Keith and Ginny Titus officiating. Internment will take place at Briley Township Cemetery in the Spring. Memorials are suggested to the Elk Country Animal Shelter.
