Mildred J. Thompson-Wolf Mrs. Mildred J. Thompson-Wolf of Johannesburg, Michigan passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at the age of 100 at McReynolds Hall in Gaylord. Mildred was born in Johannesburg on June 17, 1915 to Ira and Olive (Gibbs) Webber. The eldest girl in her family, Mildred helped to care for her ten siblings. She continued to live in the area after marriage where she raised her six children. Mildred was an excellent cook and baker and raised a bountiful garden each year that she harvested on her own until the age of 92. Known as the "Scrabble Queen" Mildred, who at last count, had over 125 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren, was loved by all that knew her and will be missed. Mildred is survived by her children; Gerald (Anita) Thompson; Lawrence (Elaine) Thompson; Mayree (James) Payne; and Quentin (Annalise) Thompson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Archel Thompson of 53 years; her second husband, Emil Wolf of seven years; and two sons, Conrad (Lena) Thompson; and Terry (Lois) Thompson. As were her wishes, cremation has taken place and there are currently no services scheduled for Mrs. Wolf at this time.
Mildred is survived by her children; Gerald (Anita) Thompson; Lawrence (Elaine) Thompson; Mayree (James) Payne; and Quentin (Annalise) Thompson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Archel Thompson of 53 years; her second husband, Emil Wolf of seven years; and two sons, Conrad (Lena) Thompson; and Terry (Lois) Thompson.
As were her wishes, cremation has taken place and there are currently no services scheduled for Mrs. Wolf at this time.
