Mildred M. Potter Mildred May Potter, 71, of Atlanta, passed away suddenly on August 7, 2007. She was born on July 18, 1936 to Clarence and Martha (Fields) May in McAndrews, KY. She married John Potter in December of 1959. Mildred spent her time between Atlanta, MI and North Carolina, residing in both stated at various times. She retired from GM Tech Center in Warren MI, after 28 yrs of service. She was an avid reader, she would read from daylight until dark. Above all else, she was a loving person and family, especially her grandchildren, meant the world to her. Mildred is survived by her sons, Rick (Lynda) Maynard of Atlanta, MI, Mike (Sharon) Maynard of Union Grove, NC, John (Debbie) Potter of Mt Hope, WV, and Joe (Lori) Potter of Atlanta, MI; daughters, Pam (Roger) Coleman of Dearborn Heights, MI, and Melissa (John) Johnson of Charlotte, NC; 16 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brother, Darryl (Gayrene) May of Galliopolis, OH; and a sister, Bobbie Jean Andre of Hillman, MI. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; brother, James May; and two sisters, Josephine Costello and Lorraine Trout. As were her wishes, cremation has taken place and there are no services planned at this time.
