Michelle Louise Wicks Mrs. Michelle Louise Wicks, 64 of Atlanta, Michigan passed away on January 1, 2015 at her home. She was born in Detroit, Michigan to Emil and Alberta (Shibler) Foltting on July 1, 1950. She graduated from Hillman High School in 1968 and worked as a bartender at the Highway Inn for many years. On August 8, 1970 she married husband, James Wicks and together they celebrated 44 years of marriage before her passing. Michelle was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Hillman and enjoyed to socialize with friends. She enjoyed music and loved to play the guitar, and sang in the band "Wicks and Co" for 20 years. Above everything, she enjoyed her time spent with family and friends and will be dearly missed. She is survived by loving husband, James Wicks of Atlanta; sons, James "Dan" Wicks of Alpena; Jason Wicks of Hillman; grandchildren, Hunter and Jaimi; sisters, Diane (Bob) Hunt of Hillman; Patricia (Terry) Kelp of Johannesburg; and Cheri Fox of Florida. She was preceded in death by her sister, Marda Morelli. As were her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial gathering held in celebration of her life on Saturday, January 10 from 12:00-4:00 PM at the Hillman Senior's Center. Donations may be made to the family to be used for funeral expenses.
