Michael Don Sims Michael Don Sims, 67, of Roscommon, MI, passed away on April 9, 2011 at St Mary's Hospital in Saginaw. He was born on June 10, 1943 to Robert and Thelma (Wisebaker) Sims in Findlay, OH. He married the former Julia Beach on February 24, 1964. He served his country in the US Army. Michael then worked as an auto mechanic in Grayling for many years, then in maintenance at Skyline Ski Area, and finally retiring from Jims Well Drilling in Grayling. He was a past member of the American Legion in Roscommon. He enjoyed antique clocks and liked to make crosses out of cement nails. Michael enjoyed tinkering in his garage. Above all else, his family always came first. Michael is survived by his wife, Julia of Roscommon, MI; daughter, Colleen (Robert) Kimball of Roscommon, MI; grandson, Christopher; sisters, Carloyn North of Vanderbilt, MI, and Joyce Hopkins of Houghton Lake, MI; and brothers, Robert (Zandra) of St Ignace, MI, Clem (Ann) of Oklahoma, and Gaylord (Kathleen) and James, both of Roscommon, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Thelma; and brother, Scott. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service for Mr Sims will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the Beaver Creek Twp Hall in Roscommon, Mr James Dikin officiating.
