Michael Arthur Nagel Mr. Michael Arthur Nagel, 65 of Lewiston, Michigan died peacefully surrounded by family at his home on the morning of November 24, 2017. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on January 27, 1952 to the late, Carl and Dolores (Dittman) Nagel. He married his high school sweetheart, Deborah (Bolling) Nagel in Redford, Michigan on April 30, 1971 and together the couple celebrated 46 years of marriage before his passing. He retired from the Redford Township Police Department where he served the community as a police officer for 25 years. The couple moved to Lewiston in 2001. Mike was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lewiston. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, fishing, and time out on East Twin Lake in his boat. He was a loving man with a smile always spread across his face. Above everything, family was important to Mike and he enjoyed the time he spent with them to its fullest. He will be dearly missed. He is survived by his loving wife, Debbie Nagel of Lewiston; son, Matt (Jill) Nagel of Chicago, Illinois; daughters, Carolyn Mayo of Charlotte, North Carolina; Suzanne (David) Graham of Fenton; Kimberly (Karl) Schemer of Whitmore Lake; grandchildren, Nathan, Kalie, Chloe, Calvin, Ashley, Luke, Emily, Lilah, and Lainie; brothers, Dan (Joanne) Nagel of Livonia; David (Kathy) Nagel of Westland; Mark Nagel of Pompano Beach, Florida; sisters, Lorie Short of Honor; and Lynn Froude of Pine Mountain Club, California. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Dolores Nagel. Funeral services for Mr. Nagel will take place at 3:00PM on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the First Baptist Church; Lewiston; Pastor Tony Petronico officiating. Visitation will take place from 1:00PM until time of service.
