Maxine L. Marciniak Maxine L. Marciniak, age 60, of Lewiston, MI, passed away on April 25, 2010 at her home on Spectacle Lake. Maxine was born in Detroit on January 2, 1950 to Lucille and John Marciniak. She graduated from St Charles in Detroit in 1967, after graduation, she worked for the City of Detroit for a number of years, then moving to Indianapolis, IN. While in Indiana, she worked for the Federal Government at Fort Benjamin Harrison. In 2000, she moved to Lewiston and was a survivor of cancer for 13 yrs. She loved living on the lake, and enjoyed the wildlife outside her window. She kept her mind sharp by working word puzzles and watching game shows. Maxine is survived by her sisters, Mary (Glen) Alsobrooks of Lewiston, MI, and Carol (Randy Mark) Ellinger of Port Hueneme, CA; brother, John (Deborah) Marciniak of Logansport, IN; nephews, Michael Ellinger of Denver, CO, Timothy Ellinger of Ventura, CA, and John Marciniak of Noblesville, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Lucille Marciniak. Maxine was a great sister, a wonderful aunt, and everyone who had the pleasure to know her thought she was kind and thoughtful. A celebration of her life will be held on May 10, 2010 at 11:00AM at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Lewiston, Fr Raymond Cotter officiating. The family has suggested memorials to Hospice of Michigan, Gaylord at 1723 M 32 West, Gaylord, MI 49735.
