Maxine June Bacon Mrs. Maxine June Bacon, 93 of Lewiston, Michigan died peacefully surrounded by family on August 4, 2018 at Hillman Haven. She was born on July 31, 1925 in Ionia, Michigan to the late, Tudor and Barbara (Moore) Rauch. She married her husband, Robert Bacon, in Allen Park, Michigan in 1983. He preceded her in death in 2011. Formerly of Livonia, Maxine moved with Robert to Lewiston in 1985. She retired as a secretary from Ford at the world headquarters in Dearborn after 18 years. She was a member of the Lewiston United Congregational Church of Christ. Maxine enjoyed sewing, quilting, reading, and writing; especially about her family. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her sons, Robert (Marilyn) Sheldon of Lewiston; Kenneth (Johanna) Sheldon of Zimmerman, Minnesota; Thomas (Karen) Sheldon of Westland; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sister, Ruth Rudolph of Dearborn. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tudor and Barbara Rauch; husband, Robert Bacon; brother, Harold Rauch; and sister-in-law, Dona Rauch. Funeral services for Mrs. Bacon will take place at 11:00AM on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at The United Congregational Church of Christ, Lewiston; Pastor David Engel officiating. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home and again on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until time of service at the church.
