Mary Grace Phillips Mary Grace Phillips, 80 of Atlanta, MI passed away on September 1, 2011 in Atlanta, MI. She was born on August 30, 1931 to Russell and Herspia (Viars) Bradford in Detroit, MI. She married Eugene Phillips on March 24, 1961 in Detroit, MI. She moved to Atlanta in 1965 having spent some time here prior to her final move. She was a member of the Big Rock Congregational Church where she enjoyed working in the kitchen and the holy walks. She was also a past President of the Women's Fellowship and a member of the Atlanta T.O.P.S. She was a past member at the Montmorency County Historical Society. She enjoyed helping at the fairgrounds over the years, loved to read murder mysteries as well as watch the news, and spend time with her cat, Shana. She is survived by son, Craig (Julie) Phillips of Atlanta, MI; grandchildren, Nickalus and Nathan; and sister, Rosalyn Bono of Guthrie, OK. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene; parents Russell and Herspia; and a son, Mark. As were her wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service for Mrs. Phillips will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at the Big Rock Congregational Church, Atlanta, MI; Pastor Keith Jones officiating.
