Mary Jane Jones Mary Jane Jones, 84 of Lewiston passed away Wednesday December 27th at Mercy Manor in Grayling after a short illness. Mary Jane was born April 4, 1922 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of Robert and Ruth (Holloway) Comer. Mary Jane married Bud Jones June 28th 1945 in Detroit and she and Bud moved first to Alpena and then in 1957 moved to Lewiston and purchased the Bud Jones Agency. Mary Jane has been extremely active in the Lewiston Community, as a member of the Lewiston Congregational United Church of Christ, Lewiston Garden Club, Lewiston Lioness Club, the Red Garter Girls, and gamma Kappa Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority Mary Jane is survived by her husband Bud, daughter Sally (George) Brand of Lovells Twp. Mi, son Don (J J) Jones of Bothell, WA, grandsons Hunter Brand of Mt Pleasant, Mi and Mack Jones of Bothell, WA. She was preceded in death by a daughter Kathy Mary Jane has been taken from the Green Funeral Home for cremation and no services are planned at this time. Memorials are suggested to the Lewiston Library Reading Garden, P O Box 495, Lewiston, Mi 49756 Condolences can be sent to the Jones family at www.greenfuneralhomes.com.
