Mary L. Chersack Mary L Chersack, 58, of Atlanta, MI, passed away on June 20, 2010 at Medilodge of Hillman. She was born on February 16, 1952 to John and Emma (Carter) Dice in Alpena, MI. She married Kenneth on May 10, 1969 at the United Methodist Church in Hillman. She has lived in Atlanta for the past 12 yrs, formerly of Garden City, and having grown up in the Hillman area. She worked in the Garden City Schools for many years, in the lunchroom, classrooms, and with special needs children as well. She also worked at Family Dollar in both Atlanta and Hillman recently. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed spending time outdoors, with her flower garden, fishing, or going for rides in the dune buggy. She also liked to travel. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family. Mary is survived by her husband Ken of Atlanta, MI; son, Kenneth Chersack of Pinckney, MI; daughter Ellen Morton of Dearborn Heights, MI; 4 grandchildren; brothers, Bill (Terry) Dice of Atlanta, MI, Russell (Linda) Dice of Hillman, MI and John "Sam" (Linda) Dice of Atlanta, MI; sisters, Dorothy (Norman) Youngski of Sterling Heights, MI. Marlene (Bruce) Marchlewski of Tallahassee, FL, Lillian (Pat) Klein of Hillman, MI, and Debby Peavey of Garden City, MI. As were her wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service for Mrs. Chersack will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Green Funeral Home, Atlanta, MI, Pastor Donald Derby officiating.
Mary is survived by her husband Ken of Atlanta, MI; son, Kenneth Chersack of Pinckney, MI; daughter Ellen Morton of Dearborn Heights, MI; 4 grandchildren; brothers, Bill (Terry) Dice of Atlanta, MI, Russell (Linda) Dice of Hillman, MI and John "Sam" (Linda) Dice of Atlanta, MI; sisters, Dorothy (Norman) Youngski of Sterling Heights, MI.
