Mary Aughton

Mary Faye Aughton Mary Faye Aughton, 76, of Atlanta, MI, passed away at her residence on Friday, Aug. 24, 2012. She was born on Oct. 31 1935 to Henry and Amy (Shriver) Darling in Vermont, IL. She married Robert Aughton on Nov. 4, 1955 in Detroit, MI. Mary retired from Ford Motor Company as an executive secretary after 37 years of service. She was a member of the Atlanta Eagles 4077, and ran the pool league on Wednesdays there for years. She was also the women's bowling association's secretary and treasurer in Lewiston as well. She was an avid bowler and loved to golf. Mary is survived by her husband, Robert; sons, William of Atlanta, MI, and David (Gale) of Kentucky; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter, and her mother Amy Darling of Allen Park, MI. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lynn Filak. As were her wishes, cremation has taken place and there are no services for Mrs. Aughton planned at this time. .
