Mary Alsobrooks

Mary F. Alsobrooks Mary F. Alsobrooks, 66, of Lewiston, MI, passed away on October 13, 2013 at home surrounded by family and friends. We will miss her presence in our lives as a loving wife and friend and for her generosity with others. Mary and her husband Glen owned and operated Century 21 Northeast Reality in Lewiston for over 26 years. Mary loved living in the Lewiston area and was active in many organizations. She was a past president of the Lewiston Area Chamber of Commerce, and twice past president of the Lewiston Lioness. Mary was also on the Montmorency County Library Board and Habitat for Humanity. She particularly liked projects involving school children, like the backpack and bicycle give-aways. One of Mary's greatest loves was walking in the woods and spending time with her four dogs. Mary is survived by her husband, Glen; brother, John (Deborah) Marciniak of West Lafayette, Indiana; sister, Carol Ellinger of Port Hueneme, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lucille Marciniak; and sister, Maxine Marciniak. As were her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a family burial at St Francis Catholic Cemetery at a later date. It is Mary's wishes that any memorials be made in her honor to the Elk Country Animal Shelter or to Hospice of Michigan.
