Mark Parin Mark Parin, 57, of Lewiston, MI passed away suddenly October 14, 2006 at Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey. He was born on July 9, 1949 to Peter and Virginia (O'Neil) Parin in Ann Arbor, MI. He married his wife Terry on December 28, 1994 in Lewiston, MI. Mark retired from the Ann Arbor Police Department in 1999 with 31 yrs of service. He spent the last 16 years on the force as a detective working many high profile cases and had numerous commendations for his outstanding work. He has lived in Lewiston since retirement, enjoying golfing and fishing in the area. He was a S.A.L. Member of the American Legion and he was also a member of the Moose Lodge in Lewiston. He was an avid marathon runner, completing six marathons. Mark will be deeply missed by his family. Mark is survived by his wife, Terry; sons, Patrick (Heather) Pester of Santa Anna, CA, and Andrew and David Parin both of Chicago, IL; 2 grandchildren, Hayden and Nolan; Mother, Virginia Parin of Dexter, MI; and brothers, Michael Parin of Ypsilanti, MI, and Joe (Melanie) Parin of Dexter, MI. He was preceded in death by his father, Peter, and brother, Christopher. Funeral services were held on Monday, October 16, 2006 in Lewiston, MI, Pastor David Fisher officiating.
