Marilyn Mcintosh

Marilyn Louis McIntosh Mrs. Marilyn Louis McIntosh, 74, of Lewiston, Michigan, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2013 at University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. She was born on November 8, 1938 to James and Mary (Porter) Shivas in West Bloomfield, Michigan. Marilyn has lived in Lewiston for the past 26 years formerly of Southfield. She retired from South Macomb Hospital where she worked as a LPN for 20 + years. In retirement she worked at Otsego Memorial Hospital for a few more years after moving up north. She was a member of the Lewiston Congregational Church, and also a member of Beta Sigma Phi, Lewiston Lioness, The Garden Club, The Book Club, The Moose Lodge, and Fifty Plus Club all of Lewiston. She used to enjoy bowling and golf, and was an avid seamstress in both sewing and quilting. She was passionate about animal rescue and loved to grow her orchids. Marilyn will be missed dearly by all who knew her. She is survived by her daughters, Marilyn (Ed) Wyka of Waterford; Elizabeth (Kevin) Cojian, of Irvine, California; sons, Neil (Andrea McCarter) Edgar of Livonia; Fred (Diane Schlenkert) Edgar of West Bloomfield; Gordon McIntosh of Alexandria, Virginia; John (Chrissy) McIntosh of Royal Oak; ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and sister, Kathy Kolasa of White Lake. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary; husband, Donald McIntosh; and sister Mary Coe. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM, Thursday, October 17, 2013 at the Congregational United Church of Christ in Lewiston, Michigan; Pastor Dave Engel officiating. Visitation will take place at Green Funeral Home, Lewiston, on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 from 3:00PM-8:00PM and again from 10:00 AM until time of service on Thursday at the church.
