Marilyn Klein

November 26, 1932 — November 14, 2009

Marilyn Alice Klein Marilyn Alice Klein, 76, of Atlanta, passed away on November 14, 2009 at her residence. She was surrounded by her family, who came from all over to say their final goodbyes. She was born on November 26, 1932 to Eldon and Mary (Sanborn) Mowery in Atlanta. She married Vernon Klein on June 2, 1951 at St John's Lutheran Church in Royston. She lived most of her life in Atlanta. She was a member of the Atlanta Eagles 4077. She enjoyed shopping, spending time at the beach, and music; especially singing with her husband. She also loved to cook and bake. Just as we celebrated Marilyn in life, we shall celebrate her spirit and memory in her death. She took courage to new heights after being diagnosed with cancer in July, 2009. She never gave up, extending the very life and spirit as well as her body to live on, be present to love her family and see her children and friends through their journeys. She is a reminder to us all that life is precious, family is king and friends are queens. Marilyn is survived by her husband, Vernon, of Atlanta, MI; sons, Mike (Jean) and Rick (Nichole) of Atlanta, MI, Greg (Debbie) of Greenwood, IN, Tom (Shari) of Commerce Twp, MI, and Matt of Waterford, MI; daughters, Amy (Joe) Soncrainte of Atlanta, MI, and Tammy (Bill) Honey of Clarkston, MI; grandchildren, David Klein, Angel Klein, Samantha Klein, Nicole Maguire (Soncrainte), Heather Wilcox (Soncrainte), Jessica Przydzial (Klein), Brent Klein, Tiffany Honey, Ashley Klein, Tracy Androl (Honey), Kortney Klein, Bill Honey, Marissa Heppner, Justin Klein, and Kyle Klein; and great grandchildren, Hannah, Jeremiah, Nyla, Lily, Colin, and Miles. She was preceded in death by her sister, Rosalyn Smith, and brother Glenn Mowery. As were her wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service for Mrs Klein will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Green Funeral Home, Atlanta, MI, Mr Ron Karr officiating. Visitation hours will be held from 11:00 until time of service at the funeral home. The family has suggested memorials to Hospice of the Sunrise Shore, 109 N. 2nd Ave, Alpena, MI 49707, in Marilyn's honor.
