Marigene Weaver

Marigene Weaver Mrs. Marigene Weaver, 75 of Lewiston, Michigan died on March 24, 2016 at her home. She was born to the late Eugene and Mary (Slattery) Simmonds on May 9, 1940 in Mt. Morris, Michigan. She attended both Baker College and Mott Community College where she received her Bachelor's degree in Child Development and went on to owning and operating a daycare for almost 30 years in Grand Blanc. She moved to Lewiston in 1999. Marigene was also a professional artist and sculptor her entire life. She won national awards and had numerous pieces commissioned over the years. She enjoyed her dogs she had over the years. She truly loved her flower gardens. She is survived by daughters, Leeanne (Hakan) Karlsson of Lewiston; Celeste (Mark) Deeny of Ellsworth, Maine; son, John (Aine Mace) Weaver of New Gloucester, Maine; grandchildren, James (Jennifer) Morgan, Logan Weaver, Atticus Deeny, and Beck Deeny; great-grandchildren, Addison and Savannah Morgan; brothers, Pat (Mary) Simmonds of Ft. Myers, Florida; Bernie (Lyn) Simmonds of Naples, Florida; and sister, Johnna Rawson of Flint. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Mary Simmonds; and daughter, Teresalynn Morgan. There are currently no services scheduled for Mrs. Weaver at this time, a family gathering will be held at a later date.
