Marie Hellen

Marie Hellen Marie Hellen, 92, of Hillman, MI passed away on August 9, 2008 at her residence following an extended illness. She was born on June 17, 1916 to John and Lucille (Spehar) Vertin in Calumet, MI. She married John Hellen of Royal Oak, MI, an accountant and retired worker from Strohs and General Motors, in 1933 in Detroit, MI. Marie was an restaurant mananger until her retirement. She was an Eagle lodge member out in California. Marie loved her family and enjoyed spending as much time as possible with them. Marie is survived by her son, George (Barbara) LeBlanc of Hillman, MI; daughters, Janet (Ben) Calhoun of Hillman, MI, and Margaret (Dick) Brocker of California. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, and a daughter, Sharon LeBlanc. As were her wishes, cremation has taken place and there are no services planned at this time. Mrs Hellen will be intered at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery at a later date.
