Marian Shields

Marian L. Shields Marian L. Shields, 74 of Hillman passed away Saturday, December 9, 2006 at her residence after an extended illness. Marian was born June 22, 1932 in Hillman, the daughter of Ether and Ella (Moore) Hunt. Marian was a nurse, working many places in Michigan including Pineview of Hillman. She was an active member of the Pleasant Valley Free Methodist Church, her church and her faith was very important to her. She enjoyed sewing, woodcarving and visiting friends and acquaintances when they were hospitalized or shut in. Marian was also active in the Adult Literacy Program She is survived by sons Thomas (Victoria) Shields of Chassell, MI, Perry (Lanae) of West Branch, MI, Dennis (Suwanna) Shields of Hillman, MI, daughters Marsha (Gary) Veihl of Cheboygan, Mi and Valerie Shields of PawPaw, MI 12 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, brother Arthur (Rosemary) Hunt of Hillman, sisters Edna Ross Of Hillman, June (John) Newton of Lachine and Kathleen Klein of Waterford, Mi. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A M Tuesday from he Hillman Free Methodist Church, Pastor Lane Eddy officiating. Burial will be in Hillman Rust Township Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 pm Monday at the church.
