Margaret "Peggy" Julia Brooks Mrs. Margaret "Peggy" Julia Brooks, 100 of Atlanta, Michigan died peacefully on the early morning of November 5, 2015 at Alpena Regional Medical Center. She was born to the late, John and Martha (Smith) Hyde on July 28, 1915 in Tower, Michigan. She married her husband, Clyde Brooks in Onaway, Michigan on April 15, 1939 and together the couple moved to Atlanta where Margaret lived most her entire adult life. She enjoyed dancing in her younger years, cooking, baking, telling Irish ditties, and entertaining her family and friends. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her son, Terry (Sandy) Brooks of Cooks; daughters, Theresa "Zoe" (Don) Oltz of New Bern, North Carolina; Patsy (Wayne) Beauregard of Ypsilanti; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Martha Hyde; husband, Clyde Brooks; grandsons; Rockeford Dustin Brooks; Travis Perry Brooks; and son-in-law, Wayne Beauregard. Funeral services for Mrs. Brooks will take place at 1:00PM on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Green Funeral Home; Atlanta, Michigan; Pastor Ginny Titus officiating. Visitation will take place from 11:00AM until time of service. Internment will follow at Briley Township Cemetery; Atlanta. In lieu of flowers the family has suggested memorials be made to Hospice of Michigan, Alpena.
