Mabel V. Rickard Mabel Verbena Rickard, 96, of Atlanta, MI formerly of Xenia, Ohio, passed away on Monday, April 2, 2007 at Engleharts Foster Care Home in Atlanta. She was born on September 12, 1910 to Henry and Savannah (Smith) Caldwell in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas. She married Wesley "Bill" Rickard, who worked for Doehler Jarvis for 30+ years, in 1933 in Bowling Green, Ohio. She was a member of both North Adams Baptist Church in Michigan, as well as Grace Baptist Church in Xenia, Ohio. Mabel loved to travel and sing. She enjoyed puzzles and playing games. Above all else she cherished her time spent with her family and grandchildren, she was very family oriented. Mabel is survived by her two sons, Don (Peg) Rickard of Xenia, Ohio, and Jim (Joan) Rickard of Newhall, CA; daughter, Sharon (Charles) Lee of Atlanta, MI; 9 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Wesley, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters. Services will be held on Friday, April 6, 2007 at Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery in Sylvania, Ohio at 1:00 PM.
