Lyle Earl Lee, 98 of Lewiston passed in his home on August 17, 2024. Lyle was born in Flint, Michigan on April 19, 1926. He came with his family to Lewiston at age 10. At 13, he took his horse and a bushman handsaw and cut one large tree each day. He went to World War II at age 18, when he came home, he met a wonderful lady named Johanna. They had many adventures in their 76 years together. They had three children. The next years were filled with cutting pulp, construction of cabins and bulldozing. He worked very hard and long hours. He loved his family very much and would offer his advice on financial matters. He wanted their life to be easier than he had it. Lyle always said, “money goes out fast and comes back hard.” He was on the Board of Directors for Lewiston State Bank for 15 years. Lyle was a licensed realtor for many years and bought and sold and renovated properties. He was talented at putting his ideas to reality and could create anything he needed. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spent much of his free time in the woods. He also enjoyed watching animals in his field. He was one of the original members in the 60s of the curling club in Lewiston. He is and will be deeply missed.
