Lucy G. Rondan Lucy G. Rondan of Atlanta, MI formally of Flagstaff, AZ passed away on October 13, 2010. She was born on November 29,1917 in Magdalena, New Mexico to Manuel and Rosa Schaeffer. In May of 2007, she moved to Atlanta, MI where she was a member of Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Lucy and her husband, Jaraldo Rondan moved to Michigan in 1952. Lucy worked for the Highland Park General Hospital in the dietary department for ten years. In 1977, Lucy moved back to Flagstaff, AZ where she worked for the Northern Arizona University cafeteria for ten years, and then for Northland Crisis Center for an additional ten years. Her favorite thing to do at the center was to care for their children. She was a devout catholic and very active in her church, Our Lady of Guadalupe, and was also a member of the Legion of Mary Society and volunteered at the chapel in Flagstaff, AZ. She loved to sew and work with flowers. She always put the needs of others first and had a gift of giving comforting guidance for whatever situation that would arise. Lucy is survived by her children, Fernando Bojorquez of CA, Inos (Charles) Brichetto of Smith Creek, MI; Lucille (Daniel) Braun of Atlanta, MI; Rosalie (Robert) Rutledge of Cottonwood, AZ; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren, sister, Cecelia Pearce of Chicago, IL; and brother, Edgar Schaffer of Flagstaff, AZ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jaraldo, two infant children, Irma and Robert, three brothers, George, Eddie, and Henry Schaeffer, and great-grandson Cory Grzech. A memorial mass will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held before mass at 10:00 a.m. Father Raymond Cotter officiating. Interment will take place at the Briley Twp Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials made me made to Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, P.O. Box 216 Hillman, MI 49746.
