Lourina Elizabeth Jean Hawley

Mrs. Jean (Lourina Elizabeth Jean) Hawley, 91 of Hillman, Michigan has gone to her Heavenly home on March 7, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Jean was born in Flint, Michigan to the late Richard and Lourina Stevens. She married her “secret love,” Mark Hawley on May 30, 1958. Mark preceded her in death on January 26, 2008. They enjoyed camping and fishing together. Jean loved spending time with her many grandchildren. Her hobbies included crafting.

 She is survived by her children, Deborah (Jay) Krebiehl, James (Vicki) Garfield, Terry (Sharon) Garfield, Geneva Decker, Christine Sheldon; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Jean is preceded in death by her husband, Mark E. Hawley; daughter, Gloria Wolgast; brothers, Richard and Calvin Stevens; grandson, Mark Garfield; and great-granddaughter, Rachelle Garfield.

  Lourina will be laid to rest at King Settlement Cemetery, Alpena at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be made in Jean’s memory to Hospice of Michigan.
