Mrs. Lorena Joyce Wajer, 87 of Atlanta, Michigan died peacefully in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family on November 1, 2024. Lorena was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan on December 6, 1936 to the late Charles and Doris (Baldwin) Goff. She has resided in Atlanta since the early 90’s. Lorena was a member of Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Atlanta, as well as the Senior Center, and The Rebeckah’s Lodge. She loved crafting, cooking, trips to the casino, and traveling around Michigan with Jerry. She also enjoyed watching the deer and wildlife in her back yard and she adored her cats, Pretty Girl, Momma Kitty, and Little Bit.
Lorena is and will be deeply missed. She is remembered by her children, Peble (Michael) Harrison, Mark Dockett, Russell Dockett; grandchildren, Kimberly (Randy) Wauford, James Allen, Maria Bryant, Jill Allen; great-grandchildren, Aubury Wauford, Alex Wauford, Michael Allen, Nick Allen, Sidney Dockett, Bobbie Jo Dockett, Jennifer Dockett, Jacob Knight; great-great-grandchildren, Vivian, Lydia, and Payton; siblings, Laura Foltz, Steve Benko; sister-in-law, Ava Goff; daughter-in-law, Connie Dockett; and many other beloved family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Doris Goff; husband, Jerry; daughters, Gina and Julie Dockett; son, James Dockett; sister, Linda Dellabaugh; and brothers, Charles and Ray Goff.
In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service held in celebration of Lorena’s life at a later date.
