Loisann Cumper

Mrs. LoisAnn Cumper, 89 of Atlanta, Michigan died peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on the early morning of December 25, 2020. She was welcomed into Heaven with open arms by her husband, John. Lois was born in Wyandotte, Michigan on May 4, 1931 to the late, Eric and Margaret (Jones) Heinbokel. She moved to the Atlanta area in 1947. Lois was a member of the Full Gospel Church in Atlanta. She was very involved with the American Cancer Society, Operation Christmas Child and she enjoyed beading bracelets to donate to charities. She worked as a foster grandma at Atlanta Community Schools, a job that she thoroughly loved and she volunteered with the Juvenile court. When not at work, Lois loved to garden. She enjoyed her flowers and feeding the birds and squirrels that would come into her yard. Most importantly, she valued the time she spent with her family and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her loving children, Terry (Dan) Thompson of Sundridge, Ontario; Sally (David) Spencer-Wineman of Atlanta; JoEllen Moulton of Atlanta; Cathy (Tom) Talaske of Alpena; Jay (Janet) Cumper; Darryl (Lois) Cumper both of Atlanta; Tammy (Philip) Soik of Hillman; Amy Cumper of Atlanta; honorary son, Larry (Marie) Lipinski of Rochester Hills; 22 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eric and Margaret Heinbokel; husband, John; grandchildren, Vu Pham and Sharon Soik; brother, Don Heinbokel; and sister, Joan Harwood.

Funeral services for Mrs. Cumper will take place at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at the Full Gospel Church; Atlanta, Pastor Dave Fisher officiating. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at the church from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until time of service. Lois will be laid to rest at Briley Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Full Gospel Church to support missions.
