Linda Lou Butera

Mrs. Linda Lou Butera, 70 of Lake Orion, Michigan and Hillman, Michigan took her final trip around the sun on July 31, 2024. She was born on March 4, 1954 in Pontiac, Michigan to the late Walter “Bayne” and Lula (Nelson) Schook. She married her husband, Mike Butera, in 1981 and together the couple celebrated 40+ years of marriage before her passing. After retirement, they spent summers at their home on Ess Lake. Linda was a member of the Orion Oxford Eagles. She was very sociable and enjoyed visiting with friends. She could often be found playing her poker and casino video games. She is and will be deeply missed.

 Linda is survived by her loving husband, Mike Butera; children, Rebecca (Lynn) McLean, Michael A. Butera Jr, Jessica Butera, and Anthony Butera; grandchildren, Benjamin and Olivia; siblings, Nancy Strong, Betty (John) Fallon, Shirley Ledger; sisters-in-law, Joanne (Jim) Schulte, Linda Jean Butera, Patty Bonna, Maria Albright, and her beloved dog, Bella. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter “Bayne” and Lula Schook. 

 Funeral services for Linda will take place on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Hillman; Fr. Al Pillarelli officiating. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Green Funeral Home, Hillman and again on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until time of service at the church. Interment will follow services at Hillman Rust Township Cemetery where Linda will be laid to rest.
