Lillian Mary Guindon Mrs. Lillian Mary Guindon, 83 of Lewiston, Michigan died peacefully at her home on the morning of November 16, 2017. She was born on September 27, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan to the late, Konstanty and Mary (Lipa) Slowinski. She married her husband, Harold Guindon, on October 4, 1958 in Detroit and together the couple celebrated 59 years of marriage before his passing in October. The two resided in Lewiston since 1999, formerly living in Dearborn. Lillian attended the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. She was the foundation of her family and centered her life around taking care of them. She was a wonderful cook and hostess. Lillian was artistic and created various crafts over the years. She made the most beautiful gift bows at Christmas time and everyone in the family knew who's presents belonged to whom by the bow that was atop them. Lillian passed this tradition down to her daughter Denise. She loved to play games including pinochle and yard games with her family and friends. An avid reader, she liked mystery and thriller novels. She watched television games shows, her favorite being Pyramid. Lillian will truly be missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her son, Craig (Lala) Guindon of Biloxi, Mississippi; daughter, Denise (John Craig) Moon of Dayton, Ohio; grandchildren, William, Eric, Autumn, and Jake; and great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Reign, Jaxson, and Eden. She was preceded in death by her parents, Konstanty and Mary Slowinski; husband, Harold; and brothers, Steve, Edmond, William, and Harry. Funeral services for Mrs. Guindon will take place at 11:00AM on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Lewiston; Fr. Matthew Furgiuele officiating. Visitation will take place from 10:00AM until time of service.
She is survived by her son, Craig (Lala) Guindon of Biloxi, Mississippi; daughter, Denise (John Craig) Moon of Dayton, Ohio; grandchildren, William, Eric, Autumn, and Jake; and great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Reign, Jaxson, and Eden. She was preceded in death by her parents, Konstanty and Mary Slowinski; husband, Harold; and brothers, Steve, Edmond, William, and Harry.
