Leslie Favel

Mrs. Leslie Ann Favel, 64 of Hillman, Michigan died peacefully at MidMichigan Medical Center of Alpena on February 4, 2020. She was born in Flint, Michigan on July 26, 1955 to Robert and Joyce (Randall) Montney. She married her husband, Arnold Favel, on October 1, 1988 and together the couple celebrated 31 years of marriage before her passing. Leslie has resided in Hillman for the last 30+ years, formerly of Flint. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Atlanta and worked at Pineview Nursing Home for a few years. She enjoyed crafts, especially painting. She used to enjoy the small farm that her and Arnold lived on in Lachine. She loved the sheep, goats, rabbits, and chickens and her cats, Buddy, Missy, and Smokey. Leslie will be dearly missed.

Leslie is survived by her husband, Arnold Favel of Hillman; mom, Joyce Montney of Traverse City; sisters, Janet Montney of Traverse City; and Katherine (Pat) Topping of Interlochen. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Montney.

Funeral services for Mrs. Favel will take place at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 7, 2020 at Green Funeral Home, Atlanta; Pastor Rick McClendon officiating. Visitation will take place on Thursday, February 6, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Friday from 10:00 AM until time of service.
