Leroy Elsworth Rawlings Leroy Elsworth Rawlings, 85, passed away at his residence on March 22, 2011 in Grayling, MI. He was born to Riley and Artie (Thompson) Rawlings on February 8, 1926 in Evansville, IN. He served his country in the US Navy during World War II. He retired from Dearborn Gage as a machinist after 20+ yrs of service. He has lived in Lewiston since 1976, then moved to Grayling in 2008. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Leroy loved to walk the trails in the woods with his wife. He is survived by son, Leroy (Deborah) Rawlings Jr. of Garden City, MI; daughters Susan Kay Rawlings of SC; Linda May (Mike) Smith of Webberville, MI; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Riley Roy Jr; son, Charles Rawlings; a daughter, Cheryl Rawlings; sisters, Wanda Jarr of Belleville, MI and Lillian Meyaard of Ft Meyers, FL. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services held for Mr. Rawlings. Arrangements were entrusted to Green Funeral Home.
