Leeland Barker

Leeland Victor Henry Barker Mr. Leeland Victor Henry Barker, 91 of Atlanta, Michigan passed away at Medilodge on March 19, 2013. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on November 12, 1921. He married wife, Earsel (Hilliker) Barker in Pontiac and together they raised a family. He lived in Atlanta at Canada Creek Ranch for the last 26 years, formerly of Waterford. He enjoyed rifle hunting and loved to go to flea markets. He was a part of the boys brigade as a youth at the First Christian Church in Pontiac and a past member of the Donelson Baptist Church. He enjoyed bringing kids up north to camp as they grew up. Above all, he enjoyed his time spent with family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Earsel Barker of Atlanta; children, Candace (Bob) Jones of Missouri; Burton (Debra) Barker of Atlanta; Ottillie (Ron) Gatlin of Tennessee; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Vernon (Gloria) Barker; and sister, Ilene Rosser both of Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, J.R. Barker. Visitation services for Mr. Barker will be held at the Green Funeral Home, Atlanta, MI; on Friday, March 22, 2013 from 4:00PM until 8:00PM. A graveside service will take place at Lake Side Cemetery; St. Ignace, MI in the Spring.
