Lawrence Niemann

Lawrence J. Niemann Lawrence John Niemann, 85, of Hillman, MI, formerly of Mt Clemens, passed away on September 17, 2007 at Medilodge Nursing Home in Hillman. He was born on March 25, 1922 to Hubert and Hilda (Hurttgam) Niemann in Mt Clemens, MI. He married the former Mary Couls in 1951 in Detroit, MI. Lawrence was a real estate agent for 30+ yrs, and also owned and operated Mt Clemens Beverage for 12 yrs. He was a member of St Johns Lutheran Church, and also of the Mr Clemens EAGLES for years. He was an avid hunter, and enjoyed to fish, especially through the ice. Lawrence is survived by his wife, Mary, of Hillman, MI; sons, Bernie (Janet) Nieman of Gaylord, MI, and Lawrence (Myrna) Nieman of Calabash, NC; 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and a sister, Norma (Paul) Happy of Mt Clemens, MI. He was preceded in death by a son, Richard; twin brother Leonard; and a sister, Eleanor. Funeral services for Mr. Niemann will be held on Friday at 1:00 p.m. at St Johns Lutheran Church, Hillman, Pastor Jason Mandley officiating. Visitation hours will be held on Thursday from 2-9:00 p.m. at the Church. Interment will take place at St Johns Lutheran Cemetery. The family has suggested memorials to St Johns Lutheran Church Organ Fund or to the American Cancer Society.
