Lanora Brunskill

Lanora Brunskill Lanora Brunskill, 83, passed peacefully away on May 24, 2011 while holding the hand of her beloved husband, Leo. She fought a brief, but heroic battle with pancreatic cancer while at Hilltop Manor in Roscommon, Michigan. Lanora's greatest wish was to be well enough to return to her earthly home in Lewiston. When it became apparent that it would not be possible, the Lord called her home to Him. On August 30, 1927 in Franklin, Kansas, Lanora was born to Angelo and Dora (Paffi) Minelli. She married Leo Brunskill on October 12, 1946 at All Saint's Catholic Church in Chicago, Illinois. They shared 64 years of wedded bliss. Leo and Lanora moved to Lewiston, Michigan in 1956 where they owned and operated the Snyder Lake Resort. After selling the resort, Lanora worked for many years as an office manager for Dr. Charles Russo at his office in Lewiston. She was also a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church in Lewiston. Among those welcoming Lanora to the Lord's Heavenly Home will be her parents, Angelo and Dora Minelli, and her cherished sister, Patsy Mioduszewski along with many other dearly loved family members and friends. Lanora's strong and independent spirit will be missed by her devoted husband, Leo, her son, Brian (Gina), granddaughters, Melissa Menzies (Christopher), Kate Brunskill, and great-grandchildren, Ethan and Kaitlyn Menzies. Mass of Christian Burial was held on May 27, 2011 at St Francis Catholic Church in Lewiston. Interment took place at St Francis Catholic Cemetery.
