Kim Douglas Benac Kim Douglas Benac, 52, of Hillman, MI passed away on January 5, 2007 at Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey. He was born on June 2, 1954 to Willis and Phyllis (O'Neil) Benac in Alpena, MI. He was a member of Calvary Episcopal Church in Hillman. Kim split his time between Hillman and his condo in Mt Pleasant, MI. He graduated from Hillman High School, and earned his bachelors degree from Central Michigan University. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Kim enjoyed photography and like to cook, especially outdoors on the grill. Kim is survived by his mother, Phyllis Benac of Hillman, MI; aunts and uncles, Bill (Marion) O'Neill of Hillman, MI, Irene Benac of Atlanta, MI, Wilma Benac and Velma Benac, both of Hillman, MI, and Darlene (Gene) Yarch of Alpena; and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Willis, and grandparents, Frank and Marie O'Neil, and Fred and Fern Benac. Funeral services for Mr Benac will be held on Monday, January 8, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the Green Funeral Home, Hillman, MI, Fr Mike Bell officiating. Interment will take place at Hillman/Rust Twp Cemetery. Visitation hours were held on Sunday at the funeral home.
