Keith Cook

Keith Duane Cook Mr. Keith Duane Cook, 76, of Hillman, MI, passed away at MediLodge in Hillman on January 6, 2012. He was born on November 14, 1935 to Victor and Nina (Hibner) Cooke in Long Rapids, MI. He has lived in Hillman since 1996, and drove school bus there for 10 years, retiring in 2006. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and was a gunsmith and member of the NRA. He enjoyed to read and loved music, he even played guitar and sang performing traditional country music over the years. Keith is survived by his wife, Donna, Of Hillman, MI; daughters, Deb, Chris, and Karol; stepson, Aaron (Carrie) Sheilds of Ossineke, MI; stepdaughter, Olivia Shields of Bay City, MI; special grandsons, Baylee and Joey; brothers, Dale (Donna) Cooke of Alpena, MI, and Arlie (Doris) Cooke of Georgia; and sisters, Dora Brott of Houghton Lake, MI, and Karen Ueberrothe of Alpena, MI. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial service held on Wednesday, January 11, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St Johns Lutheran Church in Hillman, Pastor Jason Mandley officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until time of service at the church.
