Karen Jean Swift Mrs. Karen Jean Swift, 52 of Hillman, Michigan died peacefully on January 3, 2018 at her home. She was born in Saginaw, Michigan on November 19, 1965 to Jimmy and Dolores (Lijewski) Wootten. She married her husband, Everett Swift on August 2, 1986 in Lachine and together the couple celebrated 31 years of marriage before her passing. Karen resided in Hillman most of her life but also spent eight years living in Las Vegas. She worked at Wayne Wire for 22 years in the welding and shipping department before retirement. Karen had a green thumb and loved flowers and gardening. She was crafty and started out with quilting, later moving on to making jewelry. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, and traveling and was an avid reader, especially Steven King novels. Above everything, she enjoyed her time spent with family and will be dearly missed. She is survived by her loving husband, Everett Swift of Hillman; son, Mikhail Swift of Fayetteville, North Carolina; daughter, Nakita Swift of Hillman; stepdaughters, Olivia (Benny) Morris; Helen Michelle (Mike) Evans both of Horse Branch, Kentucky; parents, James (Delores) Wootten; brother, Kevin Wootten of Hillman; and sister, Jennifer (Matt) Murphy of Galesburg. A visitation service will be held for Mrs. Swift from 2:00PM until 4:00PM on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Green Funeral Home; Hillman.
She is survived by her loving husband, Everett Swift of Hillman; son, Mikhail Swift of Fayetteville, North Carolina; daughter, Nakita Swift of Hillman; stepdaughters, Olivia (Benny) Morris; Helen Michelle (Mike) Evans both of Horse Branch, Kentucky; parents, James (Delores) Wootten; brother, Kevin Wootten of Hillman; and sister, Jennifer (Matt) Murphy of Galesburg.
A visitation service will be held for Mrs. Swift from 2:00PM until 4:00PM on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Green Funeral Home; Hillman.
