Karen Sue Haney Karen Sue Haney, 47, of Gaylord, MI, formerly of Atanta, passed away on December 9, 2009 at her residence. She was born on August 27, 1962 to Donald and Delores (Wood) Miller in Flint, MI. She grew up in the Linden area and moved up north in the late 70's. She married Garry Haney on May 24, 1982. She had worked at Treetops Resort for 10 yrs in housekeeping, and was a member of the Atlanta Eagles 4077. She was an avid BINGO player and loved trail riding through the woods. Above all else she enjoyed being with her family. Karen is survived by her children, Chris (Casie) Horton of Clio, MI, Lori Haney of Gaylord, MI, and Garry Jr (Vicky) Haney of Lewiston, MI; grandchildren, Trevor, Cody, and Conner; step grandchildren, Deztiny, Timothy, and Kaitlynn; mother, Delores Miller of Linden, MI; and brothers and sisters, Joe (Jody) Miller of Ann Arbor, MI, and Steven Miller, Diane Baker, and Barb (Rick) Castro all of Linden, MI. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garry Sr, father Donald Miller, brother Donald Miller, Step Father Lewis Miller, and mother in law, Betty Haney. As were her wishes, anatomical donation to the University of Michigan medical school has taken place and memorial services for Mrs. Haney will be held on December 20, 2009 at 3:00 PM at the Atlanta Eagles Hall, and on January 9, at 4:00 PM at the VFW Hall in Linden, MI, as well. Memorial contributions have been suggested to the Haney Family in care of the Green Funeral Home, PO Box 201, Atlanta, MI 49709.
